Flamboyacious (Chapter 4)
I apologize for the late update, I’ve been struggling to perfect this chapter so I actually rewrote it many times… LOL ><
Pairing: Jongkey Rating: NC 17 Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Smut
Key has this amazing power to attract. Every single time without fail. Thinking back to the first time they met, Key has already been attracting him with those little actions like playing with his conch piercing randomly while talking to him; it was like a really powerful magnet trying to attract his attention.
When Jonghyun opened his eyes, he was not surprised at all to find himself back in his own bed. My life is so damn predictable, he thought, sighing. Surprises never happen to me. Talk about having a mundane life.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Jonghyun immediately hid under the covers.
“Look, noona, if you are trying to wake me up then forget it,” To his amazement, there was no reply from Songdam. Peeking out from underneath the covers, Jonghyun let out a loud gasp. “Why are you there, Key?” His parents did not like strangers in their house. He would be reprimanded badly if they saw Key.
That trademark cocky smile of his crept up his face as he slowly strolled into the room, closing the door behind him. “Well, you are not at home, Jjong,” the blonde said, sitting himself at the edge of the bed. “I simply created this room in my house for you. This shall be the portal from which you can enter Lalaland from your world,” Key explained, excitement written all over his face. “Imagine, Jjong, just imagine the number of times we can now meet through this portal… and the type of things we can actually do in this room from now onwards. All you have to do is think about me,”
Jonghyun observed that the expression on Key’s face has changed to one that is sort of dangerous and sexy at the same time. Damn. Sexy. Is Key trying to actually seduce him? Jonghyun found his eyes automatically traveling down to Key’s sharp jawline and collarbones. He could almost hear them call out to him in breathy voices, “Suck on me, suck on me,”; the flawless, milky skin on it only makes things worse. Jonghyun swallowed.
“What is it that you are looking at, Jjong? You look like you have just spotted some delicious delicacy,” Key questioned, eyebrows raised in suspicion. Inching himself closer to Jonghyun, he placed a hand on his back as he whispered, “Jjong…” Fingers trailed down his back as Jonghyun hummed softly in pleasure. Key has this amazing power to attract. Every single time without fail. Thinking back to the first time they met, Key has already been attracting him with those little actions like playing with his conch piercing randomly while talking to him; it was like a really powerful magnet trying to attract his attention.
“Look at me, Jjong, don’t get too carried away by your thoughts,” the blonde whispered breathily, the tiniest speck of his tongue darting out to lick his pink lips, that looked so tender and delectable. They looked like those heart-shaped rock candies, they look so sweet and kissable that Jonghyun found his hands reaching out with a will of its own to pull Key in closer to himself so that he could have a taste of them there and then.
“Key, I don’t know what is attracting me,” Jonghyun whispered as he lifted Key’s chin and tilted his head to plant a kiss onto those tender little lips, sucking on the lower lip as the blonde whimpered softly, kissing him back. Jonghyun always thought those stupid literature texts he read for school had been exaggerating, he never thought time would actually stop when people kiss, when people look at the ones they love, and when something amazing happens. Yes, all these was amazing. From how sweet Key’s lips actually taste, to the tenderness of it, to the whole kiss in general; it was pure magic. They took time tasting each other’s lips, moving seamlessly along them as though they were made for each other, only breaking apart for the tiniest moments for air. Key moaned softly in his throat, sending soft vibrations up from his throat to the curves of his lips, as though signaling for Jonghyun to break through them with his tongue and explore deeper into his mouth. Cupping Key’s face in his hands, Jonghyun deepened the kiss by darting his tongue into Key’s mouth, exploring beyond the barriers of those neat and tiny teeth, while his little fingers moved along Key’s sharp jawline, tickling the skin along it.
Instincts kicked in as lust pulsated slowly in the blood of both males, increasing in depth, burning deep in the pits of their stomachs. Their hands grabbed the fabric getting in their way, pulling them off each other. Soon after, both of them were wearing nothing but their boxers. Jonghyun stared down and Key’s slightly swollen pink lips and smiled. It was about time he moved on the the next sexiest part of Key that has been neglected for way too long. His head dived down to suck on the flawless skin on Key’s neck, focusing particularly on a spot that sent shivers shooting throughout Key’s body.
“Jj-jong…ah” Key moaned softly, hands feeling all over Jonghyun’s muscular back, feeling those sexy grooves move as he molded it, triggered by the pleasure sparks ignited from the magic from Jonghyun’s fingers. Jonghyun finally felt like he has had sufficient of Key’s neck for the time being, and his hands moved down to Key’s neck and back, rubbing and molding this other flawless part of Key, as he smiled in delight from the whimpers and moans that sounded like purrs escaping from those slightly swollen heart shaped lips he had just abused earlier on.
“Key, do you know that this is the first time I feel so attracted to and aroused by anyone not a female?” Jonghyun asked, voice all husky from the lust and need that is piling up into a mountain within him. “You need to stop being so attractive, Key, you should be made illegal for being such a beauty,” Key’s lips curved up into a smile, pushing Jonghyun down onto his back as he leaned in closer, his ever so perfect face so close to Jonghyun’s that every breath danced along the brunette’s face, sending sparks that went straight to his crotch. Key ran his fingers along Jonghyun’s face, as he whispered in a low and sexy voice, “Jjong, let’s take a bath together,”
Without waiting for a reaction from Jonghyun, the blonde took off his boxers and crept out of the messed up sheets, his pert little ass shaking side to side as he walked into the bathroom. That butt, was so damn fine. Key turned on the tap, and sounds of water running and a bottle opening were heard. Jonghyun tore off his boxers and ran into the bathroom.
“What kind of bath salt do you…” Jonghyun jumped in front of Key before he even finished speaking. A heavenly aroma just crept up his nostrils, alerting his ever so accurate radar of the best invention ever among foods: Nutella.
Yes, Key was holding a huge jar of Nutella, the one that has 950 grams of the amazing concoction of cocoa and hazelnuts, only without the label. It was now empty.
“My goodness, Key, why are you using this in baths?” Seriously, he would never do that. It is such a waste, any uses of Nutella besides eating it was wastage. Yes it is. He was going to tell Key to stop wasting his favorite food when Key smirked, spinning him around until he was leaning on his bare chest, and Jonghyun could feel it rising and falling to the blonde’s breathing rate.
“You know,” the blonde started, placing his hands slowly onto the brunette’s chest, “nothing is ever wasted on you Jjong, nothing,” His pale fingers lingered around Jonghyun’s already erect and sensitive nub, rubbing in slow circles and pinching until throaty moans escaped from Jonghyun’s agape mouth. “this, will only make you more delectable, and I, more palatable,” Key punctuated his sentence with a grab to Jonghyun’s crotch, sending quivers throughout the brunette’s entire body.
The groping continued as both of them moved into the bathtub, which was apparently already well mixed with a good amount of Nutella, and has a jacuzzi function too. The constant movement of hot water that smells and tastes like Nutella was pure magic. It was like heaven. Jonghyun thought he could live in that tub forever. The hands that are groping him at that moment only made things even better. This was even more magical than Flamboyacious, Jonghyun was sure.
“Ah, ah, Key, damn,” Jonghyun moaned, as a Nutella scented Key pressed their wet bodies together, leaving no space between them. He ground against the brunette, lacing his pale fingers through Jonghyun’s hair as their members rubbed together, causing both their need for friction to increase exponentially, and their moans becoming throatier and louder. Key then cocked his head to suck on Jonghyun’s nub, while his left hand trailed down the front of his body, then slowly grabbing his shaft and pumping it slowly, fingers tickling his balls at the same time. Key’s mouth then moved down, tongue darting out to lick the precum that was dripping from the tip of Jonghyun’s member, then placing his precious pink lips over the tip, moving downwards while his tongue massaged its underside. Jonghyun moaned, as he grabbed those blonde locks, pushing his cock deeper into Key’s throat, increasing the pleasure developing from the tip. That hot cavern of a mouth; it works magic that is entirely out of this world.
“Faster, Key, faster,” Jonghyun pleaded, voice tinted thickly with need. At Jonghyun’s demand, Key chuckled and stood up, leaving Jonghyun’s rock-hard member neglected and standing at attention in the warm sweet smelling air, as Jonghyun let out a whimper of being ripped of pleasuring sensations.
“Turn around,” Key demanded, voice low and raspy, “you won’t want me to help you,” Jonghyun was unable to turn around, however, he was captivated by Key’s deep, dark eyes, which were fogged with lust, pupils dilated. In the next split second, Jonghyun felt himself being grabbed by the shoulder and spun around hard and fast, while his arms were pinned to the wall by Key’s surprisingly strong arms.
“You don’t know how much you turn me on as well, Jjong,” Key whispered, tongue lashing out to tease Jonghyun’s earlobes occasionally. “you everything a female doesn’t have, you have one hell of a sexy body, complete with muscular arms, firm thighs, a sexy male back… and beautiful veins that pop out occasionally to seduce me further,” Key teased the brunette’s entrance with his finger, tickling the sensitive skin surrounding it, before slowly pushing into the tight heat, pumping slowly, while he took in the beautiful sight of Jonghyun’s back arching back in pleasure. Smirking, he added a second finger, separating the fingers occasionally to stretch Jonghyun further.
Not wanting to neglect his own member, Key let go off Jonghyun’s arms as he pumped his erection slowly, reaching down to massage his balls as he put a third finger into Jonghyun to give him the last stretch before the penetration. Jonghyun’s breathy moans were like music to his ears, they were absolutely perfect, and they turned him on further.
“K-Key, fuck me hard, now!” Jonghyun demanded, his face red with need. Key smiled, as he positioned himself and pushed into Jonghyun. Jonghyun screamed at the pain that surged through him from the stretch, before it finally gave way to waves of pleasure that rocked him up to cloud nine, bringing him closer and closer to his climax. His muscle contracted as Key hit him right at his prostate, causing his vision to white out and pixels of different colors appearing in its place, before finally clearing out again.
Key made sure to thrust in the same angle, just harder this time, and he knew Jonghyun was going to come anytime soon, as the veins in his neck and on his temple became visible. He placed his pale hands onto Jonghyun’s erection, pumping it just a few times before Jonghyun came, letting out a loud moan of Key’s name as Key milked his release, which spilled out onto the blonde’s hand and the wall. Key continued to thrust into Jonghyun, before he also climaxed, ejaculating his warm cum into Jonghyun. He rode out his climax before pulling out and collapsing onto Jonghyun. The both of them panted hard, taking in as much of the sweet smelling air as possible. Jonghyun’s legs finally gave way and the both of them splashed into the water. Both of them laughed.
“I love you, Key,” Jonghyun said, as he planted a kiss on Key’s lips. “If Sunhee doesn’t mind, that is,”
A tinge of pink crept up Key’s cheeks, staining them in a pretty blush. “I told you before, haven’t I? People in Lalaland can have both a boyfriend and a girlfriend. It is nothing,”
Jonghyun beamed at Key, who was now even prettier with the blush and messed up hair, and sweat trickling down his flawless milky skin. He took in the delicious sight, licking his lips. This is perfect beauty. It must be.
Just then, there was a knock on the door, and sobs were heard at the other side of the door.
“Oppa! Don’t you want me anymore oppa!”
“Hush Sunhee. Key oppa, what the hell is this situation, get out and explain!”
Shock and worry were written all over Key’s face, as he stood up. “It’s Sunhee, I… I need to get out…” Jonghyun nodded in understanding, and motioned for Key to leave. Before Key could wrap himself properly in a towel, a shrill scream was heard.
“Oh god! Help, oppa! Sunhee fainted!”

Key cleared his throat and announced, “the reason why I need a new spell is because I would like this place to be visible not only to us, but to those people that I permit to see,” The girls spun around to look at Key, shock written all over their faces.
~~~
With his back sliding down the wall, Jonghyun sat heavily onto the ground. How, just how is he going to get into the world where Flamboyacious is, beyond the wall? How? Tilting his head up towards the sky, Jonghyun sighed. How he wished he was one of those girls, being able to just walk into the wall. He could not take his mind off that attractive little girl in pink overalls, what was her name again? Ah yes, Bora. Those dark curls are so charming, and her humor is really interesting. Kissing the wall, really? Jonghyun laughed.
Jonghyun stopped his train of thoughts, and began concentrating on looking at the sky. The blue sky and tiny white clouds were calming, and the light breeze was comforting. It was like he was being transported into an entirely different dimension, and there was absolutely nothing to disturb the tranquility which prevailed. He then recalled what Bora’s friend had mentioned, he was at The Borderline. Is this why he was having this feeling?
Suddenly, the clouds cleared and the blue in the sky faded, and he saw himself looking at a beautiful pathway that is sheltered by many many cherry blossom trees. The trees acted like a tunnel, shading the pathway from sunlight. Jonghyun smiled. This reminded him of a movie he watched as a child, My Neighbor Totoro by Hayao Miyazaki. There is definitely something amazing at the end of this tunnel. He looked further down. At the far end of the pathway were the two girls he had seen walking into the wall. He had to call them. He had to make them bring him along. no matter what.
“Yah, yah! Bora!” Jonghyun called out with all his might, but to no avail. The girls did not seem to hear him, and were chattering on.
Hush, keep quiet and watch. They can’t hear you.
That was Key’s voice. “Key?! Where are you??”
Aish, didn’t I just tell you to keep quiet? This is the most I can do, Jonghyun.
Jonghyun sighed as he watched the girls continue walking. The pathway ended, leading to a clearing that was fenced up by a gigantic gate painted white, with random splatters of neon pink and turquoise paint. Bora pressed the doorbell as Sunhee called into the intercom.
“We are here, oppa!! Saranghae~” Bora elbowed Sunhee and glared at her as she stuck out her tongue in her face, giggling mischievously. “Oh no oppa, we are screaming into your intercom system from my house!” Jonghyun saw both of them roll their eyes, and chuckled. The sarcasm, it is so attractive.
Just then, the gigantic gates creaked open, and a gargantuan of a mansion came into view. There, sitting in the middle of the huge expanse of land behind the gates was a glistening building that was constructed with polished off-white marble, alternated with beautiful black granite walls. The windows were hidden behind mahogany wood structures, beautifully carved into intricate waveforms. The view of it was as breathtaking as that of Flamboyacious. Jonghyun saw the girls turn to face each other as they mumbled something inaudible, and suddenly, they were teleported into the mansion. The interior of the mansion was simply a brighter version of Flamboyacious. Yes, even in this mansion, the chandeliers had neon lights. This, Jonghyun assumed, must be Key’s house.
“So, I suppose the two of you have come to generate a new spell to protect Lalaland,” Key said, as he walked down the spiral staircase and out into the main hall. This time, the fashionista was in an entirely different outfit. He was wearing an oversized striped hood with royal blue skinny jeans, and multicolored high tops. Such a diva. Jonghyun smiled to himself at the thought.
“Of course, oppa,” Sunhee beamed, as Key smiled and stroked her hair. Bora put on the most adorable pout Jonghyun has ever seen in his life. Even comparable to mine, he thought, as he chuckled to himself. “Yah Key oppa, what about me?” Key smiled as he led Bora into the pantry. She gasped so loudly that Jonghyun thought that she was going to hyperventilate. There, on every table and cabinet of the pantry, sat donuts of all shapes and sizes, of all colors and flavors. Sunhee then rushed in with her eyes wide open, reaching out for one of them. However, Key grabbed her hand and shook his head. “Sorry, but these are not for you. They are solely baked for my little sister Bora,” The girls then started making faces at each other, until Key cleared his throat and announced, “the reason why I need a new spell is because I would like this place to be visible not only to us, but to those people that I permit to see,” The girls spun around to look at Key, shock written all over their faces.
“What? Who else do you permit? You mean, like some random wanderer? No way!” the girls chimed in unison, as though they were speaking from the same mouth.
Key frowned. “If this place serves as a good refuge for that person, then why not? We shouldn’t be selfish, you know. As good as this place is without the wanderers who are mostly ignorant, we should share it with people who are willing to treasure it.”
The girls remained quiet, looking dubious. Key sighed.
“Well girls, if you come up with that spell, you will be well rewarded. And I mean really well.”
The girls’ faces lit up at the mention of a reward. “Okay okay oppa, we will come up with the spell!” the girls chimed, face beaming with excitement.
“Come on Bora, lets go over to the Thinking Trampolines! You can bring along your donuts from your dearest Key oppa if you want, hmph!” Sunhee said, mock anger bubbling from her high voice.
Key laughed, hugging Sunhee from the back. “Don’t worry, the next time you come over you will get something even better!” Giggling, Sunhee held Bora’s hand and skipped out of the sight. They must be going to the Thinking Trampolines to come up with the new spell to protect Lalaland.
Realisation struck Jonghyun as the word Lalaland registered in his head. He always referred to dream land as Lalaland. Do these people belong in dream land, then?
“Yes, we are from the dream land, Jonghyun,” Key suddenly said, prancing happily to face Jonghyun. Jonghyun was so lost in his own thoughts that he almost jumped out of his own skin. Key was now facing him, a cocky smile playing on his lips as usual. “I am showing you all these to explain why you are unable to see Flamboyacious today. We only appear on special occasions, because those days have links to the human world, and we want to thank you for it. However, on other days we are not visible to you. Since your appearance yesterday, I pondered over this issue and realized that maybe I should let wanderers like you in. Don’t you think it is a good idea?”
“Of course of course! Oh my, Key you are so wonderful!” Jonghyun was so happy that he could not contain his happiness. Fancy being able to go to Flamboyacious everyday, or even meeting Bora in Lalaland! Jonghyun chuckled as he stretched out his arms to hug Key, who was smiling warmly this time. His pretty face was lit up with happiness, his smile accentuating those high cheekbones, making him look even more attractive than ever. Wait, why is he showing interest in both Bora and Key? Does that mean that he is bisexual?
“Don’t worry, Jjong,” Key started with a sudden nickname for Jonghyun, reaching out to stroke his chocolate brown hair. “In Lalaland, everyone is bisexual. Everyone has a girlfriend and boyfriend. So…” His fingers slowly dancing down to Jonghyun’s nape as though his head was a piano, Key cocked his head to whisper into Jonghyun’s ear. “Do not worry too much about Sunhee,” Key’s breath ghosted around Jonghyun’s earlobe, sending goosebumps along the skin in its wake. As Key’s face appeared once again in his view, Jonghyun pressed his lips up onto those soft pink heart-shaped lips of his and kissed Key. The kiss started soft and slow, but as it progressed, passion kicked in and it got rougher. He could not hold it any longer. This pretty boy with that perfect face, no, he was not going to admire him from a distance anymore.
“Jj-jong…” Key whimpered as Jonghyun’s mouth travelled down to suck on the milky skin on his neck, triggering waves of pleasure that shot through him. Recalling the conch piercing that Key played with on their first meeting, Jonghyun tilted his head to Key’s ear, tongue darting out to play with the piercing. Key moaned in his throat, Adam’s apple bobbing up and down. Jonghyun felt blood rush to his southern regions, warmth and pleasure building up in the pits of his stomach. No, he had to stop. He had to stop before it was too late and he could no longer control his lust. Jonghyun pulled away from Key, and found himself staring into Key’s sad eyes.
“Look Key, I’m really sorry, I have to stop before it is too late,” Jonghyun explained, scratching the back of his neck nervously. To his horror, Key started to fade away. He reached out to grab Key, but it was too late. Key faded into nothing, and his vision blacked out. Is he going to end up in his bed again?
Flamboyacious (Chapter 2)
Pairing: Jongkey Rating: PG 13 Genre: Fantasy, Romance
“I know you don’t like the world you are in now, but that doesn’t mean that you will be able to seek refuge in Flamboyacious as and when you like. We have rules here, and we have to abide by them,” The masked boy said, dipping his hands into his pockets. “I am sorry Jonghyun, but don’t look for us today,”
~~~
Jonghyun always thought that the underground would have musty air and feel really hard, but it was none of that. The air was great, and the ground was soft. In fact, it felt like his bed. Stretching, he slowly opened his eyes.
He was not in a rabbit hole like he expected. The reason why he felt like he was in his own bed was because he was in his bed. Springing up into a sitting position, Jonghyun tried to recall what happened the night before. Yes he was drinking in the bar Flamboyacious. Yes he was sure of that. He fell down the rabbit hole because he was the first to get drunk during the Rabbit Hole Day. So how did he end up in his bed?
Jonghyun frowned. He was back in the cruel world, away from the amazing bar, magic goblet and… that pretty boy.
“Hyun-ah, why are you still in bed?”
Yawning, Jonghyun glanced up at the clock with hooded eyes. 7:00am. Great. He only has 15 more minutes to get ready.
“I’ll be out in awhile, noona! Don’t leave without me!!” Jonghyun threw open his cabinet to get a fresh set of uniform, before running into the bathroom for a quick shower. He had to ride in his sister’s car, no matter what. The crowd attempting to squeeze up the buses during rush hour is no joke, he was not going to take any risks.
Soon after, he was sitting in his sister’s car.
“Hyun-ah,” his sister started, as she drove through all the weird routes to avoid the heavy traffic. “I don’t recall you coming home last night, how did you get in without any of us knowing?”
Jonghyun looked up, and opened his mouth in an attempt to explain his out-of-the-world adventure yesterday. However, no matter how hard he tried, he just could not speak whenever he was about to talk about anything related to Flamboyacious. “Noona, I saw this saufbuwrbgi uiuaasjghhyvhfkyvy argh I can’t!!!” Frustration built up in him as he tugged at his hair.
Songdam laughed. “Relax, it is probably not time for this to be known yet. You… must have had an amazing adventure right, hyun-ah?” Jonghyun smiled at his sister’s understanding, and nodded. Well, when fate permits, he must bring his sister along to Flamboyacious too. She would definitely love that place, and its owner. He was sure that Key’s pretty face would capture her heart. He chuckled silently at these thoughts.
“See you after school!” Jonghyun waved to his sister as she dropped him off at school. Jonghyun sighed. Another day of mocks and humiliation was about to begin. Dragging his feet along the pavement, he sauntered to class and plopped himself onto his seat, staring up at the fans spinning on the ceiling.
“Yah Kim Jonghyun, what homework was there yesterday?” A face suddenly replaced the spinning fans that were about to lull him to sleep. Jonghyun frowned. It was Taemin, the biggest nerd in the class. He was every teacher’s pet, and the school model student. They were best friends since they were little kids wearing diapers and drinking milk from milk bottles. It was hence the greatest irony when Jonghyun was such a bad student with consistently terrible grades.
“Oh seriously, Taemin. It is not that I don’t want to tell you. What makes you think that I will actually know about it?” Laying down further in his chair, Jonghyun propped his legs up onto the table. “I had such a great time yesterday, homework was definitely, absolutely, none of my concern,” he shrugged nonchalantly, as a smile crept up his lips. Even just thinking about Flamboyacious makes him happy. He was definitely going back that night.
Taemin sighed as he sat down on his chair. “I need to do my homework, hyung. It is not like you don’t know. We are each other’s only friends, no one else would tell me what homework there was yesterday. They would even pay to see me get a scolding from the teachers!” Taemin sulked as his eyebrows knitted together. “I had such a splitting headache yesterday that it was impossible for me to get out of bed. I must have missed out on many things in class!” He threw his hands up in frustration.
Jonghyun snorted in amusement. “Oh really, Taemin. The teachers love you so much, why would they scold you for not doing homework from yesterday when you were so unwell? Just ask them later and do it tonight,” Taemin just sighed and lay his head down on the table as if he did not hear him.
Just then, the bell rang, and class started. The lecturer droned on and on about literature appreciation, which Jonghyun was completely uninterested in. Jonghyun lost concentration within the first ten minutes, and fell asleep.
“I know you miss me,” a voice whispered in his ear. Jonghyun jumped. Who was that? He turned to look at the person, but a rabbit mask covered his face. All he could see was the neon pink studded blazer he was wearing, with a turquoise tank top underneath paired with black leather pants, as tight as ever. Jonghyun looked up at the masked face, and he swear that he could almost hear the smirk in the person’s voice. “I know you don’t like the world you are in now, but that doesn’t mean that you will be able to seek refuge in Flamboyacious as and when you like. We have rules here, and we have to abide by them,” The masked boy said, dipping his hands into his pockets. “I am sorry Jonghyun, but don’t look for us today,”
“Why?” Jonghyun was taken aback. This was not the reality he wanted. Even the best refuge he could ever find is not going to be there for him? What the hell? Furthermore, he was getting really frustrated. His memory was not cooperating. What is the name of this boy? He knew his name, but why is it that he could not recall it? What was wrong?
“Well, maybe we would meet again on Ariel day,” the boy reached out to pat Jonghyun on the back, before pivoting in the opposite direction and strutting off in a diva-like stance.
It was then did the boy’s name register in Jonghyun’s brain. Key. Yes. That boy was Key. He had to call out to him.
“KEY!!!!!!” Jonghyun called out with all his might. The boy did not once look back. Instead, he felt his whole world shaking. “Key? Key!!!” It was no use, that boy was already out of his sight, and his world was shaking even more violently now. Something was amiss. He jolted up to look at his surroundings, and found himself sitting in his classroom, with Taemin looking at him with concerned eyes, and everyone else with curious glares. The lecturer shot him such a fiery stare that he was sure it bore holes into him.
“Kim Jonghyun!” The lecturer bellowed, slamming the desk in front of him. The whole class jumped in astonishment. “What are you doing in class, shouting out like that?! You are already the most terrible student I have ever taught, how much more worse can you get?”
Jonghyun could hear a sneer behind him. “You are such a disgrace, Kim Jonghyun,” he turned around and glared at Minho, who simply smirked and whispered lowly,”I am glad that I am so much better than you, now stop looking at me, I don’t like the sight of you,”
Sparks of anger began to ignite in him, accumulating into a ball of flame, threatening to burst out of him any moment.
“Worst student, eh? So I guess it doesn’t matter if I became worse, since there is no one below me anyway. And since I am not a joy to teach at all then I guess I should not be a nuisance by staying in your class any longer. I. Am. Getting. Out. Of. Your. Damn. Class.” With that, Jonghyun grabbed his bag and stormed out of the class. He was useless there anyway. No point staying. Jonghyun rolled his eyes. The lecturer did not even bother stopping him. As he strolled out of the school, he thought about the dream he just had. Key had said that he should not go to Flamboyacious today because it would not be there. But why? It was a building, why would it disappear into thin air without rhyme or reason? It does not make sense. He had to go to Flamboyacious. Now. Taking off in the direction of Flamboyacious, Jonghyun wondered if Key would be there. To be honest, he would feel really afraid to enter Flamboyacious if Key was not there to welcome him.
As Jonghyun reached the end of the street where the turn that led to Flamboyacious was, he let out a gasp. He could not belief what he saw. There was no turn. There was no Flamboyacious. What greeted him was the end of the street, where a crumbling concrete wall stood.
“Why is it that even you are keeping me away, why, why, why, WHY??!” Jonghyun yelled, as he slammed his fist into the wall, further threatening it to collapse there and then. He needed to get to Flamboyacious. He needed to drink the house specialty. He needed the magic goblet that refills the drink automatically. Most importantly, he needed to see Key. He wanted to see the boy that led him into that wonderful place, the boy who owned that amazing place. Jonghyun put his head against the wall, as tears welled up in his eyes. He belonged nowhere. Not anywhere at all.
“Yah, what are you doing over there kissing the wall?” a sweet voice called from behind Jonghyun. “You need to get out of my way,”
Out of my way? Jonghyun spun around in surprise. “You mean there is a way beyond the wall?”
The pretty girl in pink overalls rolled her eyes, flipping her dark curls. “I can’t explain now. Get out of my way,”
Jonghyun stared in surprise as he moved aside. The girl mumbled in a low voice something that he was unable to comprehend, then a hole appeared in the middle of the wall, expanding to reach the height of the little girl. Jonghyun thought that she would walk in, but no, she did not. Instead, another girl walked out of the wall, patting her oversized knitted sweater and miniskirt, and complaining about how long the girl in pink overalls took to come over.
“Well I’m sorry Sunhee, but this wanderer held me up,” the girl in pink overalls explained, glaring at Jonghyun. The girl called Sunhee looked up at him curiously. Jonghyun jolted up in attention at the mention of the word ‘wanderer’. Does this mean that these girls know about Flamboyacious?
“Yah, what are you doing over at The Borderline?” she questioned, curiosity never seeping away from her eyes.
“Well, erm, I erm, am looking for Flamboyacious,” Jonghyun explained, hoping that the girls would bring him there. To his surprise, caution sprang up into both of their eyes.
“We’d better get going, Bora,” Sunhee said, grabbing her hand. “I don’t think we should talk too much with the wanderer,” As they both turned to walk into the darkness, Jonghyun tried to follow behind them, but the hole closed before he could step in.
Jonghyun was determined to get to the other side of the wall. There must be a way.

Flamboyacious (Chapter 1)
This story is dedicated to my dearest sister @labkey and unnie @tae-new! ^^
Pairing: Jongkey Rating: PG 13 Genre: Fantasy, Romance
So. I removed the mask that held me intact, and found myself in tattered pieces. And I don’t even want to pick them up anymore.
~~~
The world has given up on him. He was just a useless piece of scum that is feeding off the contribution of other people. Heat built up in the back of his eyes until they stung, triggering tears that trailed rapidly down his face. Sitting on the pavement, Jonghyun cried his heart out. Why is it that no one could see that he has already put in his best efforts, only to be faced with negative results?
When his tears finally stopped flowing, Jonghyun glanced up ahead of him. No. He would not let everyone mock him. He needed to feel like he owned the world. He wanted to feel magnificent. They. Are. All. Fucking. Wrong. With his legs trembling, Jonghyun finally stood up.
“Who are you people to judge me? Who are you to tell me I am a useless brat? WHO, WHO?!!” He kicked the leaves and twigs on the pavement. Jonghyun was furious. He was upset. He needed to find a place that would make feel superior, a place that would make him happy. He tossed his bag forward, as it fell in a beautiful parabola, meters ahead of him.
“I… I am so useless,” he whispered, dragging his feet as he moved down the pavement to pick up his bag that has fell onto the road. As he straightened his back to fling it onto his shoulders, he saw in his peripheral vision a turn in the street that he has never seen before. He pivoted in that direction to take a better look. It appeared spanking new, like it was a road newly paved that morning. Sitting right in that corner was a building that looked like it belonged in the Victorian era. It had beautifully carved pillars, intricate designs along the walls and windowsills and colorful stained windows. Since when was that built? Jonghyun did not recall any construction occurring along this street. Then again, his life was in too much a mess for him to care about construction works. Curious, Jonghyun walked over to that building. Standing at the foot of the tiny but beautiful steps, he glanced up at the shopfront, hoping to see a sign that explained what this building was about. Yet there was none. So what the hell is this building?
Just then, sounds of movements behind the door caught Jonghyun’s attention. He ran up the steps and tried to peek through the keyhole in the door. However, he saw nothing. There was nothing at all. It was an empty place, decorated with cobwebs and dustballs all around. What a huge contrast to its beautiful exterior, Jonghyun thought, as he turned to leave. Empty places that produce weird noises do not seem very appealing right now.
“Hey, why are you leaving?” Jonghyun jumped at the voice. Turning around gingerly, his eyes were met with a masked boy wearing a pink v-neck top in a biker’s jacket, and tight silver pants. Smiling smugly, the boy took a step forward. “You are now in my premises, so you have to listen to me,” he ordered, a tone of finality in his voice. His voice had a certain power that kept Jonghyun from defying him.
“Well, this place is empty and creepy. Why would I want to stay?” Jonghyun raised his brows in question.
A cocky grin crept up the other boy’s face. “Obviously you haven’t learnt not to judge a book by its cover,” Wrapping his jacket tighter around himself, the boy stood up straight and spoke.
“You are now at Flamboyacious, which is my place. The reason behind its name is simple; I like to think of myself as a flamboyant and vivacious person. As for what exactly is this place, I leave it for you to judge. Many like to consider it a bar, though. I am the chief bartender here, and only I know how to make all of the drinks. All my other bartenders are simply machines. I don’t really like to share my secret recipes,” The boy finally removed his mask, and extended his arm for a handshake. “My name is Kibum, but please call me Key,”
Jonghyun looked up at the blonde, who had high cheekbones and feline features. A pretty boy, he thought, as he took his hand and shook it firmly. “I am Jonghyun, nice to meet you Key,” The other boy simply flashed his cocky grin.
“So, are you staying or not?” Key asked, raising his brows and playing with his ear stud.
A conch piercing, Jonghyun noted. This is a unique boy. “Oh, if it is a bar, I will definitely stay,” he replied, thoughts of a dimly lit place and amazing drinks running through his mind.
“Ah, I would like to remind you though, this is a bar only because people believe it to be,” Key said, as he turned towards the door. With a snap of his fingers, the heavy wooden doors creaked open, revealing an interior that has a level of grandeur easily surpassing its exterior. It was huge, almost comparable to a mansion. A number of elegant chandeliers decorated the grey ceiling, while zinc-plated pieces in the shape of lightning streaks suspended from random spots, adding a modern touch to the place. Vintage european style furniture lined the walls in the corner, while tall, funky stools were carelessly placed around the glittery bar. Most of the flooring was meticulously polished black marble, with random spots of granite tiles. Key grinned, as he flicked on the switches. “This, is what completes it,”
To Jonghyun’s amazement, neon lights emitted from the bulbs of the chandeliers, and the randomly placed reflective pieces did the perfect job of pushing the entire place into a whole new level of amazing. The vintage wallpaper and furniture made a beautiful contrast with its modern-looking counterparts. It was such a breathtaking sight that it was magical. Or should he say, it was such a magical sight, it was breathtaking. This place. It is so perfect it is out of the world. Jonghyun stood at the entrance, mouth agape in awe. He could stay here forever. It was so much better than what is outside of it. The cruel world outside of it.
“How do you like this place, Jonghyun?” the blonde questioned, as he checked the machinery behind the bar that looked so glittery and fancy that it was almost like a stage. Speaking of stage, Jonghyun realized that there was no place where singers or bands could actually perform. Instead, there was a wall covered in vines. Silvery vines, to be exact.
“Don’t you like the place?” Disappointment tinged the voice of Key, as he look at Jonghyun with sad eyes.
“Oh no, that’s not it,” Jonghyun denied, waving his hands. “But what is that wall about?”
Looking at the direction Jonghyun pointed to, Key laughed. “Oh, that? That is only the beginning of what isn’t a bar in this place,” Smiling slyly, the blonde moved towards Jonghyun. “And my customers, they come from there,”
A chill ran down Jonghyun’s spine. “Who’s in there? And why would your customers actually come from there, and not the entrance?”
There was no need for a reply. Almost immediately, a candy cane poked out from within the silver vines. “Time for a drink, fellow stars!”
Stars?! Jonghyun watched in amazement as well dressed people emerged from the vines. They had this certain sparkle about them that Jonghyun couldn’t explain. They all had pretty faces, and they were all of varying ages. They did not seem to notice his existence though.
“Joyous meeting, Key!” the group chorused, voice almost musical.
“Joyous meeting,” Key replied, throwing his arms into the air, and the air immediately changed. Jonghyun could now actually see what the stars were saying. Glittery words spun from their mouths like threads of colorful silk. He was curious as to whether it worked on him as well, so he muttered a low “Hello”. Much to his amazement, it worked. Fascinated, Jonghyun forgot about the stars’ existence and started speaking to himself. “Oh my Jonghyun, you can see speech now, oh my goodness!” Chuckling at the glittery words he produced, Jonghyun turned around to lean against the wall, only to see the stars staring at him, and Key frowning.
“Hello over there! Joyous meeting! Well, who is that fine looking guy over there?” Two guys dressed exactly the same spoke at the same time. Stunned, Jonghyun opened his mouth and closed it repeatedly, much like a fish gasping for air on land.
“Oh, oh, he is a wanderer,” Key explained on behalf of Jonghyun. “His name is Jonghyun,”
“Jonghyun, huh?” The two guys walked towards Jonghyun, hands extended together. “Joyous meeting, I am Gemini,”
“Oh, er, joyous meeting,” Jonghyun smiled sheepishly, shaking Gemini’s hands. “Why am I called a wanderer?”
A beautiful girl walked over, chocolate curls bouncing in the air. “Well, because you wandered in from your world, and there is a chance of you contaminating our world over here,” she explained. “I am Virgo, by the way. Joyous meeting,”
Jonghyun shook her hand, and looked up at Key in shock. “From my world? What do you mean? You mean, this is not part of my world?” He remembered walking into this place from his own world!
Key chuckled, as he poured a drink he just mixed into a colorful goblet that sparkled in every single color in the spectrum. “Here, have a drink. This is our house specialty, My First Kiss. Take a seat, as I explain Flamboyacious to you,” Handing over the drink, Key clapped his hands once. “But first, let’s welcome this wanderer,”
“Joyous meeting, Jonghyun!” the stars chimed, as colorful words spun out into the air.
“Joyous meeting,” Jonghyun sipped from the goblet, and was amazed at the tantalizing taste that was leaving sparks of sweet aftertaste ghosting on his tastebuds. As he scanned the faces in front of him, he realized that he could recognize the stars. Slowly, he identified each and everyone of the twelve of them, and receiving cheers as a response when he succeeded.
“So, you are not an ignorant wanderer, I see,” Key said as he grinned at him. With a sharp whistle, soft jazz music played from the high quality speakers, every note receiving the attention they deserve.
“Flamboyacious,” Key began, “is not your ordinary bar. People from your world do not know of us, but we do know of you. More often than not, only the stars, mythical creatures, and storybook characters patronize this bar. They live behind that facade of a vine wall, in a maze of lodgings that even I can’t comprehend till this date. However, we do expect guests like you on special occasions. For example, today is Rabbit Hole Day,”
“Rabbit Hole Day?” Jonghyun was amazed. “What kind of occasion is this?”
“Surely you have heard of Alice in Wonderland?” Key continued when Jonghyun nodded in response. “Today is the day Alice fell down the rabbit hole into Wonderland. The Rabbit Hole supervisor celebrates this day from then on. He should be arriving with Alice soon!”
Loud footsteps sounded in the distance, and sure enough, Alice appeared in her blue frock, alongside a man who was still eating.
“Yah yah yah, can’t you quit eating chicken for a day, Jinki?” Key questioned, as he sighed at the Rabbit Hole supervisor who was still eating his chicken. Still munching, Jinki looked up and replied, “The chicken is so delicious, you have to try it!” With a disgusted look on his face, Key waved the supervisor’s offer off and rolled his eyes. Clearing his throat, Key jumped onto the nearest stool and declared, “The party has begun! Today is Rabbit Hole Day, all drinks are on the house today!” Cheers sounded from all over the bar, and Jonghyun realized that more people from behind the vine wall have filled up the massive Flamboyacious.
Frowning down at his goblet that kept refilling itself magically, Jonghyun realized that he was already on the verge of being drunk. The feeling was kicking in. He could feel himself heating up, and he could almost hear the tips of his ears turning crimson. Flamboyacious has a really strong house specialty. One more sip, just one more sip, and he would be drunk. Jonghyun was sure of that.
Just then, the bar hushed as Alice and Jinki stood up.
“Every year during Rabbit Hole Day we drink to our heart’s content, and this year shan’t be any different! One gulp in celebration everyone, cheers!!!” Everyone gulped in unison. Oh no, Jonghyun thought, I can’t! Seeing Jonghyun’s reluctance to drink, Key pushed the goblet against Jonghyun’s mouth. That was it. The world started to spin around Jonghyun, as he faintly heard Jinki speaking. “Remember though, mates, the rules of drinking on this day is to never get drunk! The rabbit hole shifts, and on this day, it awaits right underneath our feet for the first drunk man!”
Jonghyun frowned. So it was him this year. As he fell down the pitch-black rabbit hole, he could hear Key calling his name. Imagine how embarrassed he would be later when he goes back. Key’s cocky grin appeared in his mind before he blacked out completely.
